Optam Building Group is led by director and registered builder Royce Beale, who started as a carpenter in 1995 before moving into building management. Since then, the business has grown almost entirely through word of mouth and repeat work.
Royce Beale founded Optam Building Group after starting his career as a carpenter in 1995, moving into building management and eventually registering as a builder in his own right (QBCC 1150341). Over three decades, Optam has built a reputation on the Sunshine Coast for honest advice, quality construction, and staying personally involved in every project from the first phone call through to handover.
Almost all of Optam's work comes from word of mouth and repeat clients — a track record that speaks to the trust built with every homeowner along the way. Our preferred client is building a $1m–$2m high-end, luxury or executive-style home they intend to live in and enjoy for decades, including rural lifestyle homes, knockdown rebuilds and difficult, sloping-site builds many builders shy away from.
